Cheap Wedding Gift

We all know that money doesn't grow on trees and weddings can be expensive espeically with the redit crunch looming.   Not of all of us are made of money etc. The point is that sometimes we want to give a wedding gift but don’t have any or much money. We need to give a great wedding gift that is also a cheap wedding gift.

Yes, it is possible to give a nice weddig gift that is still within most people's budget range.  If you are artistic, you are certainly ahead of the game. If the couple is just starting married life, they will need everything including home accessories. If you can paint, you can give them a gift that they will love and honor for a lifetime. Landscapes are always popular and fairly easy to paint. You might paint a landscape of their honeymoon spot. That would be truly special.

If you can draw, they would love a portrait of them as an engaged couple. Through the years this drawing will remind them of how young and happy they were. If you are crafty, you might frame the drawing for them. If not they won’t have any problem spending the money for a good framing.

If you are more crafty than artistic, there are so many cheap wedding gifts you can make. If you are into folk art and so is the happy couple, you could make them a 'Welcome to our Happy Home' sign to put outside their new home. They will be thrilled. If you are a quilter, you can make them a small quilted throw to put on a sofa or chair. You can use scraps you already have in your sewing room and the gift will cost next to nothing but your time.

If you have been friends with the couple for a long time, you probably have plenty of candid shots of them. You could buy a cheap scrapbook kit and give them the gift of a memory. Your scrapbook will depict their courtship and their friends. You may even start the bride on the road to scrapbooking herself. You never know.

If you can sew, you can create some perfect but cheap wedding gifts. If the couple needs curtains, offer to make them as a wedding gift. Ask the bride what colors she would like and the style she would choose. The most important thing to remember is to make curtains that the bride will like. Forget your own taste. After the curtains are finished, hang them also. Your friend will love you.
